About — Mohammad Adnan

Hey, I’m Mohammad Adnan.

I’m a full-stack developer and product builder working across scientific software, interactive tools, and open source. I enjoy taking complex systems—from data pipelines to research workflows—and making them useful and approachable.

I’m currently working with a team of astronomers at the Harvard–Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics on an interactive portal for exploring NASA’s NICER archive. The project builds on FlyingRay, a prototype I developed during Google Summer of Code 2025, and is part of a funded NICER mission proposal.

Since 2024, I’ve contributed to Stingray, an open-source library for astronomical spectral-timing analysis within OpenAstronomy. My work includes automating data retrieval and processing for the NICER and RXTE missions, and building interfaces that let researchers explore their data interactively.
